Getting to Crookhurst
From the M6
Head for Junction 41 after Penrith. Follow B5305 until you reach Wigton then turn left onto A596 to Aspatria. Turn right for Westnewton B5301, turn left for Allonby. 3 miles, first farm on your left to Bowscale Farm and Crookhurst.
From Carlisle
Follow the signs for Workington (A595 / A596). Follow A596 until you reach Aspatria, Turn right for Westnewton B5301, turn left for Allonby. 3 miles, first farm on your left to Bowscale Farm and Crookhurst.
If you miss the turning for Westnewton follow the sign for Maryport and turn right for Allonby.
Once in Allonby…
Turn off at the bridge in the middle of the village onto the Westnewton road. Bowscale Farm (The propietors of Crookhurst) is the second farm on the right about half a mile outside of Allonby… ask for Brenda!
